Schools out for summer! Sorry to be a killjoy but only a few weeks until the hoiday’s are over.  Anyone else’s mind turning towards returning to work or school?

It’s a common feeling to start to feel a little low at the prospect of returning to our jobs or study.

So common in fact a survey conducted by Reed 78% of people find returning to work stressful, and 52% say they consider changing jobs immediately after a holiday.

The survey also shows that it takes only 11 hours for an individual’s stress levels to return to pre- holiday levels.

The good news is we can beat the holiday blues! Be prepared for them.  The best way to overcome negative feelings is be patient with yourself…notice your feelings, and labelling them gently in your mind can be really helpful.

I think having something fun pencilled in or planned going forward can be another way of overcoming those holiday blues.

If you are finding your mental health difficult to manage please contact us here at Cheshire and Manchester CBT to arrange an appointment. On this website you can find organisations that may be helpful depending on your circumstances.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays!
